OPINION: Journalism has been replaced with partisan activism
Until all votes have been properly, legally, and completely counted, it is downright irresponsible to call this election. The American people deserve answers. Unfortunately, we live in a day and age wherein the Washington establishment, the media, and big tech don't permit individuals to so much as ask questions--doing so makes you a conspiracy theorist!
Freedom of the press is integral to a functioning democracy. The issue arrives when these so-called "journalists" reveal themselves to be subjective activists instead of objective informers. Time and time again have these talking heads in the media over-played their hands and revealed themselves to be political operatives masquerading as neutral figureheads on these big networks.
The media censors those who don't fit their double standard. The media is a cultural storyteller; the culture is where the media's values are derived. What we've seen in the United states is the existence of two distinct cultures; one elevates the individual, the other subjugates the individual and places him/her under the will of an anonymous collective.
Multiculturalism has proven time and time again to be an abject failure. Politics is downstream of culture; thus, culture dictates politics—the dominant culture uses democracy as a means of imposing its desired framework on everyone else. The United States is United in name only; there is no point in forcing two (or more) blatantly separate cultures to coexist. I, for one, think a secession should be part of today's discourse--but that's a topic for another column.
Upon proclaiming Biden the victor, these activists in the news--in the midst of allegations of election rigging--pretended the world had been saved. So incredibly obvious is it that the media has a stake in the election. They're acting like they've won a war. CNN is represented by glaringly obvious Democrat operatives; these operatives interview leftists to validate the views of their leftist viewers. Conformation bias is truly one hell of a drug.
Need I remind anyone how short-lived the Presidency of Al Gore was? NBC proclaimed Gore the president--CNN and CBS followed suit soon after. The year 2000 saw Al Gore being given his day in court; as the United States is a Republic, this due process must apply to this election as well. Make no mistake, the biased press not only hates President Trump--they also hate all of his supporters.
As of this writing, Donald Trump is still president of the United States. In spite of this, CNN's very own Anderson Cooper likens the president to an "obese turtle, on his back, flailing in the hot son". "Today he is a loser, by definition", CNN's Dana Bash laments. CNN's Van Jones did nothing to hide how over overcome with emotion he was: the guy was a blubbering mess on-air. Has Oscar season come early, or what? And Best Actor goes to, the crying communist! Self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez suggests her supporters make lists of "Trump Sycophants". I'd like my gulag number to be 696969, thank you very much.
The same party who has championed draconian lock downs--which have prevented you from seeing your families, pulled children out of schools, and triggered a rise in alcoholism, suicide and depression--celebrates Biden's victory with mass street rallies. Hey, where did the pandemic go? CNN's COVID death ticker disappeared. In its place, coverage of people celebrating Biden's victory (close-ups on tears of joy, galore!). Meanwhile, Trump supporters are the ones labelled as "super spreaders. The media doesn't care about investigations, they're just overjoyed that their candidate won--if this isn't literal political segregation, I don't know what is.
